Deputies: Pulaski motorcyclist pronounced dead after alcohol-related Shawano County crash
WASHINGTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A man from the Pulaski area was pronounced dead on Wednesday night following a motorcycle crash near a turn on County Road E in Shawano County.
According to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent to the area of County Road E and Lodge Road around 8:15 p.m. on June 26 after a motorcycle was found in a ditch and an unresponsive man lying in a field.

The driver, identified as a 50-year-old man from the Pulaski area, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash and also noted that the man was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Based on an initial investigation, deputies say the motorcycle was heading west on County Road E near a curve at Lodge Road when the driver failed to slow for the curve, lost control and ‘flipped numerous times.’
The crash remains under investigation.
