DeSantis appoints Ashley Gibson Barnett of Lakeland to Florida Council on Arts and Culture
Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Ashley Gibson Barnett of Lakeland to the Florida Council on Arts and Culture. She is one of four newly appointed members.
Gibson Barnett is the owner of Barnett Creative LLC, the governor’s office said in a news release. She is a member of the Florida Southern College board of advisors, the Polk Museum of Art, the Florida Chamber Foundation and the Friends of Bonnet Springs Park Advisory Board.
Gibson Barnett earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida Southern College in Lakeland and a master’s degree in law and her juris doctor degree from Emory University in Atlanta.
