Mix of political, business and cultural figures speaking at RNC includes 4 from Wisconsin
Two more Wisconsinites with deep party credentials, one from business and one from politics, have been added to the list of speakers at the 2024 Republican National Convention getting underway Monday in Milwaukee.
Diane Hendricks and Reince Preibus will join U.S. Senate candidate Eric Hovde and U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson as speakers with Wisconsin ties. The alloted length of speeches, and what nights they will be speaking, has not yet been made public.
The four Wisconsin speakers join a roster of business and cultural leaders, a smattering of minor celebrities, a few members of former President Donald Trump's family and a lineup of Republican officials who will get a few moments in the spotlight during the convention.
Some names that pop out:
Tucker Carlson, radio and television personality, confidant of Trump.
Savannah Chrisley, television personality from "Chrisley Knows Best" and now criminal justice reform advocate.
Franklin Graham, faith leader and son of the late Billy Graham.
Lee Greenwood, country music star known for "God Bless the U.S.A."
Dana White, CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders from Arkansas, former spokeswoman for Trump during his presidency.
Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, who ran against Trump in the primaries.
Kellyanne Conway, former counselor to Trump
Linda McMahon, former U.S. administrator of the Small Business Administrator, wife of pro-wrestling entreprenuer Vince McMahon.
Hendricks, co-founder of Beloit-based ABC Supply, was listed as the 92nd-richest person in the world in 2024, according to Forbes.
ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing supplies and one of the largest distributors of siding and windows in North America. Hendricks founded ABC Supply in Beloit in 1982 with her late husband, Ken.
Since his death in 2007, Hendricks has been the chairwoman and sole owner. She is a longtime supporter of the GOP and conservative causes. She donated more than $1 million to Trump's 2020 election campaign.
Priebus is chairman of the host committee for the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
He served as chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, then chairman of the Republican National Committee, and then White House chief of staff during the first six months of Donald Trump's presidency.
Priebus grew up in Kenosha County.
