Diddy Files Appeal After $50M Bond Request Was Denied
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team has filed an appeal after a judge denied the music mogul’s latest bond request.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Combs’ attorneys are arguing that he is not a flight risk and are seeking to overturn the decision that currently keeps him incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Combs is facing serious charges, including federal racketeering, sex trafficking, and kidnapping, which have garnered significant media attention.
Despite the gravity of these allegations, his legal representatives assert that the proposed $50 million bail package offers sufficient restrictions to address concerns regarding witness tampering, intimidation, and the possibility of Combs failing to appear for trial.
Among the conditions of the bail proposal, Combs has pledged to sell his private plane, a move his attorneys say demonstrates his commitment to remaining in the U.S. and complying with court orders. Furthermore, Combs is willing to impose restrictions on visitors, agreeing to bar all females guests outside of his immediate family from visiting him if released on bond.
In a further effort to reassure the court, Combs has promised to have no contact with any known grand jury witnesses and has agreed to submit to weekly drug tests. His legal team believes these measures will alleviate concerns surrounding his potential release.
As Combs awaits his next court date, his appeal may prove pivotal in determining whether he will be granted bail or remain behind bars.
