Doctor accused of woman’s death after plastic surgery: Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A doctor at Restore Plastic Surgery was arrested on June 17 in connection with a woman’s death after plastic surgery in November, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

41-year-old Benjamin Jacob Brown was arrested Monday for second-degree felony homicide: manslaughter by culpable negligence, according to an SRCSO news release.

Deputies were called to the business on Nov. 21, 2023, for a report of a medical emergency. Officials said when their deputies arrived, they found that Hillary Ellington Brown, Benjamin’s wife, had suffered cardiac arrest and was taken to a local hospital for care.

The news release said Hillary was put on life support but later died on Nov. 28.

“After an extensive investigation in conjunction with the District One Medical Examiner’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office, our detectives requested a warrant for the arrest of Dr. Benjamin Brown,” read the release.
