Can dogs eat avocados?
No, dogs cannot eat avocados. While they are nutritious to humans, they contain persin, a toxin that is dangerous and potentially deadly to dogs, the American Kennel Club says. While your dog may be able to eat minimal amounts without life-threatening health risks, large amounts can cause vomiting, diarrhea and other internal gastrointestinal issues in your canine.
To stay on the safe side, it's best to keep the fruit away from your dog.
