60 Minutes booked both presidential candidates for an interview… but only one will be showing up.
Republican nominee Donald Trump has pulled out of a scheduled interview with the venerable CBS news magazine, the show announced on Tuesday, with Democratic nominee Kamala Harris now slated to appear solo on the election special, airing this Monday, Oct. 7 at 8/7c.

“For over half a century, 60 Minutes has invited the Democratic and Republican tickets to appear on our broadcast as Americans head to the polls,” the show said in a statement. “This year, both the Harris and Trump campaigns agreed to sit down with 60 Minutes. Vice President Harris will speak with correspondent Bill Whitaker.”
But “after initially accepting 60 Minutes’ request for an interview with Scott Pelley, former President Trump’s campaign has decided not to participate,” the statement added. “Pelley will address this Monday evening.” The statement also noted that “our original invitation to former President Donald Trump to be interviewed on 60 Minutes stands.”
Trump has already said he won’t debate Harris again after their first face-off that aired Sept. 10 on ABC, with more than 67 million viewers tuning in. The two candidates, however, will take part in separate town halls on Spanish-language network Univision next week, with Trump’s event airing Tuesday, Oct. 8 and Harris’ on Thursday, Oct. 10.
