Doug Stone to perform in Henderson Thursday
Williams Auditorium in Henderson is bringing another nationally-known recording artist to rural West Tennessee on Thursday.
Doug Stone will be performing in Chester County.
Stone was nominated multiple times in the 1990s for Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and Grammy awards because of hit songs like “Better Off in a Pinebox,” “A Jukebox with a Country Song” and “In A Different Light.”
Generally regarded for his ability to deliver a soulful ballad, Stone’s discography also includes selections that are a throwback to old country music that show how life can be during sad times like a breakup or divorce.
All seats in the auditorium are reserved starting at $39 for a reserved seat, $49 for premium and $55 for a gold circle seat.
The performance is part of his “From The Heart” 2022 Tour, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the release of one of his biggest albums of the same name.
That album had some of his biggest hits including “Too Busy Being in Love,” “Warning Labels” and “Why Didn’t I Think of That?”
1992 was also the year he had bypass surgery at 35 years old, but he had surgery, recovered and has been touring almost constantly ever since.
The show is slated to start at 7 p.m.
