Downtown Cleveland thief indicted again: I-Team
CLEVELAND (WJW) – The FOX 8 I-Team has found a man just indicted again for stealing from cars in downtown Cleveland even as police have tried to put him away for that.
Cuyahoga County prosecutors on Wednesday indicted Brian Bodenschatz. He faces new charges of grand theft when the property is a firearm, breaking and entering and criminal damaging.
Last year, we showed you Cleveland police video as officers arrested Bodenschatz for breaking into cars downtown.

Investigators tied him to a series of crimes. Yet, court records show, instead of getting convicted, he was sent to get treatment. He also got probation in another case.
But days ago, Cleveland police arrested Bodenschatz once more, saying he broke into more vehicles and even stole a gun.
Body camera video from last year shows officers know this man well.
“Rollover. You’re going to jail again for another felony,” and officer said in one clip.
“What’s up, Brian? Come on, roll over,” an officer said in another.

Bodenschatz now will have to appear before a county judge on the new indictment.
Another court date has also been set regarding the prior charges and the promise to stay out of trouble and get treatment.
