Downtown Fond du Lac's Mirrorball is closing its doors, but curator owner says future pop-up opportunities may arise
FOND DU LAC — Downtown home decor store Mirrorball, 44 N. Main St., is closing its doors this month.
As of April 4, stock is clearing out fast, with the store offering 70% off everything in a cash-only final sale.
Owner Casey Fiebig opened the store in January 2023 to provide a mix of vintage and modern goods that appeal to a variety of styles, from trendy to eclectic.
He announced the decision to close on the Mirrorball Facebook page March 26, but assured the Mirrorball idea will likely not disappear entirely. As he is still an avid collector, future pop-up opportunities could arise.
"I have always championed the act of chasing happiness," Fiebig said in the post. "The idea of doing a job that is fulfilling and allows the freedom to explore one's interests is something we should all go after."

In thanking friends, family and customers for supporting him and the store, he said the endeavor isn't bringing him the happiness he had hoped it would, though he's loved working with other downtown businesses and watching customers find joy in what he's curated.
"Mirrorball was a place for self-expression and exploration. A place for your creative mind to wander and expand. A place of curiosity and wonderment," he said. "I hope that, though short-lived, this little spark has shone brightly, and I appreciate you all for coming."
