Driver admits to fatally injuring pedestrian in Buffalo
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man pleaded guilty in connection with hitting and killing a pedestrian while he was driving under the influence in December, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
Curtis Hall Jr., 36, admitted that he was driving at a high rate of speed while under the influence of alcohol when he hit and killed 69-year-old Michael Cosgrove on the evening of Dec. 15, 2023 on the 1000 block of William Street in Buffalo.
He pleaded guilty to one count of criminally negligent homicide.
He faces up to four years in prison when he is sentenced on July 29. He remains released on bail.
