E.T. screening, Q&A with film’s stars at the Robinson as Geek’d Con weekend kicks off
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—The Robinson Film Center kicked off the Geek’d Con weekend by showing E.T. the Extra Terrestrial; two of the iconic film’s stars appeared at a VIP meet-and-greet before the movie.
Dee Wallace, who played Mary, and Henry Thomas, who played Elliot, were on hand to meet fans, introduce the movie, and take questions and answers after the movie was over. The VIP room also featured food and drinks and plenty of picture opportunities.

Jennifer Janet says she is an E.T. superfan and has seen the movie over two hundred times.
She brought a sweatshirt with E.T. on it that she wore when the movie came out in 1982. Janet went on to say, “It’s the first movie that I remember seeing in the theatre; my Dad took me to see it, so it’s special to me. “
The tickets sold for the event help fund the film center’s work in the community and bring independent films to Shreveport that cannot be seen at other theaters.
Wallace and Thomas will also be at Geek’d Con, which kicks off Friday, August 16th, at the Shreveport Convention.
