Early morning fire on Shepard Street ruled arson

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fire on Shepard Street in Buffalo early Thursday morning has been ruled as arson, fire officials confirmed.

Crews responded to the fire at 66 Shepard St. at 5:10 a.m. Thursday.

The building was a vacant residential structure and damage was estimated at around $80,000. It is unclear if anyone has been charged as of Thursday morning.

The roads around the area of the fire were reopened by 9 a.m.
