East Texan competing to sing anthem at National Finals Rodeo needs support

GRAND SALINE, Texas (KETK) – An East Texas native is vying for a chance to perform the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo and she needs support to get there.

50th annual Salt Festival pours through Grand Saline

Billie Jo Jones, of Grand Saline, has made the top eight for NFR’s National Anthem Contest where the winner will perform in December at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“I would love for people to be able to vote for me so that I can represent East Texas and use the God-given voice that I’ve been given,” Jones said.

According to the NFR Experience, voting to determine the top two singers ends on Oct. 3. People can vote online through the NFR website.
