Effingham Co. Animal Shelter is full; has no open kennels
EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WCIA) — The Effingham County Animal Shelter announced they are completely full and are asking for anyone interested in adopting to check out some of their available dogs.
Earlier this week, the shelter announced in a Facebook post that they have reached capacity, including in their emergency kennels. As of Friday evening, the shelter confirmed with WCIA that they are still completely full.
“ALL of our kennels are FULL and one of our officers is on their way to pickup another dog,” the shelter said on Friday.
The fee to adopt each dog is $130 and they all come spayed or neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, heartworm tested, microchipped and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
