Election night website issues

Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic delivered this website update to the Brevard County Canvassing Board.

“I just want to make everybody aware that we’re having some issues with votebrevard.gov. It’s happening to most of the supervisor of elections sites across the state. Most of us use the same website vendor — but that’s why we put our election night results on a completely separate Amazon web service cloud. So while you might have slow difficulty getting the vote at votebrevard.gov, we’ve put out the direct link to all the media, social media and everything like that, so the results aren’t delayed. My initial reports are, one county of the 67 who uses the site as a vendor decided to put some third-party product that’s hammering the servers with half a million hits a minute.”
