Elma man indicted on child pornography charges

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Elma man was indicted Tuesday on multiple child pornography charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Matthew A. Steele, 53, is accused of coercing a minor victim to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce a visual depiction, according to officials. This allegedly occurred on more than one occasion between July 2008 and July 2012.

Steele then allegedly distributed some of the images that were produced of the minor victim, officials said. He is also alleged to have possessed images of a prepubescent minor on a hard drive.

Stelle was charged with production, distribution and possession of child pornography. He faces a minimum of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 30.
