Elon Musk to donate $45 million a month to new Donald Trump super PAC: Report

X CEO Elon Musk said he will donate $45 million a month to a new super political-action committee backing former president Donald Trump's reelection campaign, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Despite reportedly donating to the political-action committee, the Tesla founder was not listed on a Monday filing from America PAC that revealed it has raised over $8 million.

Other donors in this group include capital firm 8VC co-founder Joe Lonsdale, former U.S. ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft as well as investor twins Cameron and Tyler Winklesvoss, the Journal reported Monday citing a person familiar with the matter.

As of the first day of the Republican National Convention, Musk remains the only Fortune 100 CEO to fully endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential race.

Musk fully endorses Trump after rally shooting

The SpaceX CEO offered his complete endorsement for Trump following the Saturday assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

"I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery," Musk wrote on X Saturday while sharing a video of the moment after a bullet struck his right ear.

Musk has said he previously voted for Democratic candidates including President Joe Biden in the three previous election cycles. In recent years, the tech mogul has vocalized his frustration with Democrat policies such as Biden's indefinite support for labor unions and his decisions regarding immigration and the border.

Earlier this year, Musk vowed not to contribute to either Trump or Biden's campaigns.

"Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President," he wrote on March 6.
