Escambia County approved three residential projects, for 300+ potential homes, in June
Escambia County approved three residential development projects in the month of June, which will add 332 more homes to the county.
These three residential projects are set for Cantonment, northwest and southwest Pensacola respectively after receiving their development orders from the county’s Development Review Committee.
Here’s what to know about the residential development projects that received a green light from Escambia County.

Enclave at Bella Terra
Lennar Homes was approved to develop a new subdivision with 58 lots for single-family homes in the Cantonment area.
The project’s development order states that it will be built on approximately 18.31 acres of land on U.S. Highway 29, which will be connected to the subdivision with an access road.
Two new roads will also be created as part of the Enclave at Bella Terra project. The project’s approved preliminary plat drawings show that the new roads will be called Bella Terra Way and Paisley Drive.
They also show that Bella Terra Way will provide access onto U.S. Highway 29 for the subdivision’s residents.
This project was filed with the DRC in late January and developers submitted two additional revisions to their preliminary plat drawings during the approval process. The first revision was filed in March before additional changes were filed in May.
The project was approved by the DRC on June 5 and issued a development order, and its preliminary plat drawings were approved five days later.
Eagle Pointe Subdivision Master Plan & Phase One
A project to create a new subdivision in Northwest Pensacola, along with the plans for its first phase of development, was approved by Escambia County’s DRC in June for the second time.
The subdivision will be named Eagle Pointe, and will include 145 single-family lots to be developed off of Klondike Road and Wilde Lake Boulevard using 47.18 acres of land, according to the master site plan's development order filed with the county.
A total of four new roads will be created for the subdivision: Camphor Road, Eagle Pointe Circle, Eagle Pointe Road and Flight Street.
Eagle Pointe developers received approval from the DRC last May for this project, however this time around they planned to split its development up. Eagle Pointe subdivision will be a two-phase project, with the majority of its lots getting developed during its latter phase.
Only 25 lots will be developed during phase one using an 8.23-acre parcel on Klondike Road. Camphor Road is the only road that will be developed during this phase, and will connect to Klondike Road.
Developers filed both the master plan project and their plans for its first phase with the county in early March. Both projects were approved by the DRC on June 12 and received development orders.
Skyhawk Landing
A subdivision project named Skyhawk Landing was approved for Southwest Pensacola and plans to create 129 single-family lots, according to the project’s development order, using an 81.3-acre site.
Four new roads are planned as part of the project, and will be named Buckeye Street, Mentor Street, Scooter Street and Sabreliner Drive.
The project is planned for development off of South Loop Road, and will be connected to Sabreliner Drive. Etheridge Road will also be connected to Skyhawk Landing through Buckeye Street.
This project has been in the works for two years and was issued a development order from Escambia County’s DRC on June 26.
