Falconer woman pleads guilty to sex trafficking charge
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Falconer woman pleaded guilty to a sex trafficking charge, as well as drug charges, after she conspired with others to give food, clothing, and drugs to victims in exchange for sex acts, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Officials said between October and December 2022, 25-year-old Cora Waddington and two others provided shelter to two victims with drug addictions at a W. Main Street residence. Waddington, Zaid Mendoza, and Kelvin Thomas allegedly provided daily quantities of heroin and fentanyl to the victims.
The three forced the victims to perform commercial sex acts for money both in the Falconer residence and elsewhere, officials said. Mendoza allegedly received the money and would then give some to Waddington, in addition to drugs, food and clothes.
Waddington pleaded guilty to benefitting financially from trafficking in persons and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 40 grams or more of fentanyl and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
She faces a minimum penalty of five years in prison and a maximum of life when she is sentenced May 13.
