If you're looking for some fun, new places or plates to try, consider checking off some of these Fall River spots.
Starting Friday, March 15, a total of 24 city eateries will be serving up a smorgasbord of dining experiences at affordable prices during the 10-day gastronomic journey.
When is Fall River Restaurant Week?
Organized by the tourism organization Viva Fall River, Fall River Restaurant Week stretches across two weekends — running Friday, March 15, through Sunday, March 24 — and is meant to offer folks a taste of Fall River's diverse culinary scene.
The event debuted with 12 participating eateries, almost doubling to 21 last year, and this year they've topped that with two dozen restaurants featuring food from around the world.

March madness: Plans are cooking for annual Fall River Restaurant Week. Who wants in?
How does Fall River Restaurant Week work?
According to organizers, participating restaurants will present "dining deals" or prix fixe menus, including both lunch and dinner options, alongside their regular offerings.
"Fall River Restaurant Week aims to provide residents of Fall River and visitors from nearby areas with the chance to indulge in the city's diverse culinary scene without breaking the bank," states a press release from Viva Fall River.
Hours for Restaurant Week offers may vary from the usual business hours of the restaurants, and there are no advance tickets required. Patrons can just stop in at their eatery of choice.
Latin American Food Tour has also launched
A number of participating eateries are also featured in Viva Fall River's recently released Fall River Latin American Food Tour, a self-guided experience and video series featuring a variety of the city's Latinx restaurants and markets. More information on that tour can be found at vivafallriver.com/latinamericanfoodtour.
This latest Fall River food tour follows on the heels of other similar Viva Fall River efforts in past years, such as their self-guided ice cream tour and meat pie tour. If you missed those when they launched, you can still check them out on the Viva Fall River website.
