MARSHALL COUNTY, KS (KSNT) – The family of Camoran Shoptese is speaking out after KBI agents said they may have found his remains Wednesday.

Shoptese was reported missing on the 4th of July. Seven days later the KBI found the likely remains of Shoptese in rural Marshall County. Investigators believe he was murdered.

Shoptese’s nephew, Christopher Ratzloff spoke with 27 News about the family’s loss.

“On the inside he cared for everybody,” Ratzloff said. “He looked like a big, strong, scary guy but he would do anything for anybody in a heartbeat. He didn’t deserve this and he had a very big heart.”
