Feed the Need at the Kern County Fair

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — September is Hunger Action Awareness Month and CAPK is working to alleviate food insecurity in Kern.

There are several opportunities for Kern County locals to show up and provide food for those in need.

Observe the Moon for free with the Kern County Astronomical Society at The Park at Riverwalk

The food bank serves people all across Kern County, reaching more than 40 thousand clients monthly.

There’s an opportunity at the end of the month to get free admission into the Kern County Fair through CAPK’s Feed the Need event on Sept. 24.
