The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Wednesday announced that President Joe Biden authorized an increase to the federal cost share to 100% for 30 days. The additional disaster assistance will also cover emergency protective measures.

The state can choose when that time period begins, but it has to do it within 120 days from the start of the fire.
