A few spotty showers through early in the week

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The upper low from Francine is still spinning around to our north and is bringing some slightly lower humidity to the area. Expect overnight lows in the upper 60s Saturday morning to the north and low to mid 70s south.

There are some indications a few spotty showers may rotate around on the southwest side of the storm over the next couple of days. Expect a mostly sunny and warm day Saturday with highs around 90. By late afternoon and evening a small band of showers may swing through the area.

By Sunday moisture starts to move back into the area with once again a few spotty showers by the afternoon. The best chance will be to the north and northeast of the area. This will actually be the leftover moisture from Francine moving back south in a trough. It doesn’t look like we will see anything too heavy or widespread, but look for spotty showers by Sunday and Monday with Monday probably seeing the best chance of rain overall.

Temperatures look to stay warm through most of next week with upper 80s across the area.
