Fight over a man leads to Baton Rouge woman being charged with attempted murder
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An investigation into a stabbing by the Baton Rouge Police Department led to the arrest of a Baton Rouge woman.
Kaimaiijeir Williams, 22, was charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder.
BRPD’s investigation started on Aug. 11, 2023, after police found that a woman had been stabbed multiple times on South Flannery Road. “She arrived at the hospital in a privately owned vehicle,” BRPD said.
The stabbing victim said that her sister and Williams had been feuding over a man, according to the affidavit. She told police that she and her sister were driving down South Flannery Road when Williams’ vehicle tried to hit her vehicle from behind.
Both vehicles pulled into a parking lot on South Flannery Road. Police said the victim’s sister and Williams then got into a fight. The stabbing victim said after the fight, Williams “jumped on her vehicle and began kicking the front windshield” before they began to fight, according to arrest documents. The victim said that Williams then stabbed her.

Investigators said the victim had been stabbed in the leg, back, breast and butt.
Williams was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Tuesday, July 9.
