Fire breaks out at Hamburg barbershop

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fire broke out at a Hamburg barbershop late Sunday night.

The blaze happened at Buffalo Barber Surgeons, located on Long Avenue. WIVB News 4 heard on the Erie County South Fire Department scanner on Broadcastify that the call came in just after 11:15 p.m. Sunday and five engines were called to the scene.

On Monday morning, a large hole is visible on the roof of the building.

A WIVB photographer on scene around 3 a.m. Monday saw a disaster relief truck boarding up the door and putting fencing around the building.

It is currently unclear if there were any injuries, estimated damage or what caused the fire. WIVB has reached out to authorities in Hamburg and is waiting to hear back.
