Fire causes $250K in damage to building on Broadway
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An estimated $250,000 in damage was done to a structure on Broadway in Buffalo and one person was rescued following a Saturday morning fire, fire officials announced.
Officials said crews responded to the fire just after 4 a.m. at 1677 Broadway. According to fire officials, the fire started outside of the vacant three-story structure.
Authorities said one person was rescued from inside the building and was transported to ECMC to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Three additional fires occurred within one-mile of each other this week, with one on Brownell Street and two on Deshler Street. Buffalo fire officials are investigating if the incidents are related.
