Fire causes $70K in damage to Buffalo residence

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fire caused roughly $70,000 in damage to a Buffalo residence early Friday morning, fire officials announced.

Officials said the blaze began around 1:30 a.m. on the first floor of a Hill Street home near ECMC before it spread to other floors. The residence was occupied at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
