Fire in Chautauqua County considered “incendiary”

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A structure fire in Sinclairville Tuesday morning was found to be “incendiary in nature,” according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sinclairville Fire Department responded to an East Ave. residential structure fire just before 10 a.m., officials said. The fire was extinguished and the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene.

Through an origin and cause fire investigation, officials said the investigation team determined that the fire was incendiary in nature.

No injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
