Fire department in Wisconsin has busy day with 13 separate incidents
PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) – Firefighters in southeast Wisconsin were kept busy on Wednesday by responding to a whopping 13 separate incidents.
According to a social media post from Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue on Sept. 11, 2024, crews kept moving all day. During the 24-hour shift, crews responded to 13 separate incidents.

Two of the incidents included water rescues on Lake Michigan, three fire alarms, seven medical calls, and one structural fire that damaged the exterior of the building primarily.
In addition to the calls for service, staff attended live fire training and then made appearances at three local businesses hosting Sept. 11 memorial events.

Lastly, crews honored the fallen brothers and sisters who died on that fateful day by doing a Sept. 11 Stair Climb inside their respective stations. Firefighters climbed 2,071 stairs.
Several comments on the social media site showed gratitude toward the station, with many thanking them for their dedication and hard work.
