Fire kills dog, causes $125K in damage to Buffalo home
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An early Tuesday morning fire left a dog dead and caused roughly $125,000 in damage to a house in Buffalo’s Lovejoy neighborhood, city officials told WIVB News 4.
The fire began around 2:30 a.m. on the first floor of a home located on the 300 block of Benzinger Street, officials said.
In addition to the $125,000 in damage to the house, roughly $20,000 in exposure damage occurred at three nearby residences and a vehicle was also affected.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
