Fire at Neenah apartment building with no sprinkler system contained to second-floor unit
NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – Fire crews worked to contain a fire at a Neenah apartment building on Thursday morning, which officials say had no sprinkler system.
According to the Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue (NMFR), crews were called to an apartment building on Tullar Road in Neenah around 7:10 a.m. on October 10.
The first crews to arrive found flames coming from a second-floor apartment. Authorities say the fire was contained to the affected apartment and attic area above the unit.

It was noted in NMFR’s release that the building was not equipped with a sprinkler system but did have a fire alarm system that alerted the residents.
No injuries were reported and the fire is currently under investigation. However, officials with the NMFR say that one cat died in the fire.
