Firefighters contain 2-alarm fire at NoDa brewery

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 2-alarm fire at the original Heist Brewery location in NoDa has been contained, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

Officials first reported the fire in the 2900 block of North Davidson Street around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16. The blaze did turn into a second-alarm fire, requiring additional crews.

Firefighters controlled the fire after 40 minutes. No injuries were reported.

Officials say the incident is still under investigation; however, it is believed that the fire started in the kitchen.

Heist Brewery says the fire was minor and that staff quickly evacuated guests. The location will be closed temporarily.

During the closure, customers can visit the Barrel Arts location at 1030 Woodard Ave.
