Flo Rida talks with NewsChannel 9: ‘Syracuse is my house’
NEW YORK STATE FAIRGROUNDS (WSYR-TV) — New York State Fair organizers are calling Flo Rida’s concert Thursday one of the greatest shows in the history of Suburban Park.
Flo Rida spoke with NewsChannel 9 just minutes after leaving the stage and his 42,000 fans.
“Syracuse is my house,” Flo Rida said, invoking the popular song he sang moments earlier.
The rapper brought high energy and created some special moments, regularly bringing fans up on stage and leaving the stage himself on a band member’s shoulders to perform amongst the crowd.
Late in the performance, Mr. Rida climbed a State Police overwatch tower to introduce the crowd to two troopers working and thank them for their service.
“The energy was so contagious,” Rida told NewsChannel 9, “It wasn’t like it was planned or anything.”
Flo also brought some birthday girls on stage, including an eight-year-old.
