Fond du Lac County Sheriff: 730+ traffic stops during Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign, nearly 250 citations issued
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has released statistics from the recent Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
According to a release, deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office conducted 732 traffic stops, which resulted in 249 citations and 314 warnings.

Of note, while the focus of this campaign was to discourage drunken driving, deputies also issued 77 citations for speeding and 64 citations for operating after suspension/revocation.
Additionally, a total of 15 operating while intoxicated arrests were made, which included 12 first offenses, one second offense, one third offense, and one first offense with a minor in the vehicle.

“Whether the cause is alcohol, prescription medication, or other drugs, impaired drivers endanger everyone, and it’s a problem we take seriously throughout the year,” said officials with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office on social media.
