Republican presidential nominee, former President Donald Trump holds a press conference from inside trash hauler at Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport on October 30, 2024 in Ashwaubenon Wisconsin. With less than a week until Election Day, Trump is campaigning for reelection in the battleground states of North Carolina and Wisconsin.

Former President Donald Trump spoke to reporters from a garbage truck ahead of a Wednesday night rally near Green Bay, an effort to highlight President Joe Biden’s comments in which he appeared to refer to Trump's supporters as “garbage” when addressing offensive comments comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made at Trump’s rally on Sunday.

Hinchcliffe had called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage."

Biden and the White House quickly sought to clarify that Biden was referencing Hinchcliffe specifically. Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump's Democratic opponent in the presidential race, also distanced herself from Biden's remark.

Trump in comments from the truck on Wednesday denied knowing "anything about a comedian," according to video.

"Nobody loves Puerto Rico more than me," he said.

Loadmaster, which bills itself as a company offering "high quality refuse trucks located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan," posted a photo of Trump inside one of its vehicles.

"As you may have seen on the news tonight, we got a call that someone needed a garbage truck, we always answer those calls!" the company posted.

When Trump took the stage at the Resch Center in the Green Bay suburb of Ashwaubenon, it was in an orange safety vest.

He opened with a reference to Biden's comment and continued on that theme as his speech went on.

As you may have seen on the news tonight, we got a call that someone needed a garbage truck, we always answer those calls!
