Foundation season 3 adds CODA star to cast
Foundation season 3 has added CODA star Troy Kotsur to its cast.
The Oscar-winning actor will play the role of Preem Palver, the leader of a planet of psychics, in the upcoming season of the Apple TV+ sci-fi.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the next season will finally begin production on March 6 in the Czech Republic and Poland, which comes after filming was pushed back from its planned February start date due to budget and physical production issues.

Foundation is based on the classic book series by Isaac Asimov, and follows a group of exiles who journey to save humanity and rebuild civilisation following the fall of the Galactic Empire.
The first season debuted back in 2021, with the second following last summer. The show was renewed for a third in December.
"I’m thrilled Apple has given us the opportunity to continue chronicling Asimov’s pioneering galactic saga," showrunner David S Goyer at the time.
"This time, the stakes for Foundation and Empire are even higher as the Mule takes centre stage, along with fan-favourites Bayta, Toran, Ebling and Magnifico Giganticus."

Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+, added: "To watch Foundation become such a global hit has been beyond exciting with audiences around the world continuing to be captivated week after week by this dramatic and compelling journey to save humanity.
"We can’t wait for everyone to experience what is in store for characters old and new in season 3."
Kotsur won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2022 for his role as Frank Rossi in CODA, making history as the first deaf male actor to win an Oscar.
The first two seasons of Foundation are available to stream now on Apple TV+.
