Four people arrested following Slidell drug bust

SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — Four people have been arrested in connection with a Slidell drug bust that occurred on Monday.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, in early August, detectives began investigating 59-year-old Daniel Woodruff under allegations that he had been selling drugs.
On Friday, Aug. 9, detectives encountered Woodruff and a woman, 35-year-old Sarah Cumberland, during a traffic stop on Old Spanish Trail. After detectives found that they allegedly had active arrest warrants issued from other agencies, the two were arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.

On Aug. 12, a search warrant was executed on Woodruff’s home in the 100 block of Steele Road in Slidell. There, STPSO detectives said they found 16 grams of fentanyl, under a gram of methamphetamine, 11 strips of Suboxone, 1.3 grams of marijuana, 80 doses of benztropine, 45 doses of topiramate, three doses of clonidine, drug paraphernalia and two firearms.
Two other people, identified by the STPSO as 34-year-old Stephen McArthur and 58-year-old Jerry Ross, were allegedly at the home when the search occurred. They were also arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
Woodruff faces the following charges:
Possession with the intent to distribute a schedule II CDS (fentanyl)
Possession of a schedule II (methamphetamine)
Possession of a schedule III (Suboxone)
Possession of a legend drug (benztropine, clonidine and topiramate)
Possession of paraphernalia
Cumberland faces the following charges:
Improper equipment/display of license plate
Secretary to require inspection
Suspended driver’s license
No insurance
Fugitive from JPSO
Switched license plate

McArthur faces the following charges:
Possession with the intent to distribute a schedule II CDS (fentanyl)
Possession of schedule II (methamphetamine)
Possession of schedule III (Suboxone)

Ross faces the following charges:
Possession with the intent to distribute a schedule II CDS (fentanyl)
Possession of schedule II (methamphetamine)
Possession of schedule III (Suboxone)
Possession of a legend drug (benztropine, clonidine and topiramate)
Possession of paraphernalia
Possession of a firearm with a CDS
