Frankie Muniz of 'Malcolm in the Middle' makes NASCAR Truck Series debut at Nashville
LEBANON – Frankie Muniz, or more commonly known as Malcolm from the household sitcom, 'Malcolm in the Middle', made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut Friday night at Nashville Superspeedway in the Rackley Roofing 200.
Muniz raced for Reaume Brothers Racing.
Muniz's truck began to overheat around lap 86 leading to his truck to go behind the wall. He finished the race 31st place, 20 laps down. Christian Eckes won the race, leading every lap.
It was announced last week in a post from the Reaume Brothers' X platform (formerly Twitter) that Muniz would appear in four races this season, with Nashville being his first.
In the post the team also announced that the former Hollywood star is slated to race in Bristol and Kansas City, Kansas for the truck series, while also racing in Brooklyn, Michigan for the ARCA Menards Series.
Muniz began his car-racing career in 2004, where he competed in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race as a celebrity participant. In 2007, Muniz transitioned to the Atlantic Championship Series, then called the Champ Car Atlantic Series, where he raced until a wrist injury hauled him during the 2009 season.

He made a quick return to the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race in 2011.
Stock car racing was Muniz's next stop in 2021, where he raced in the SRL Pro Late Model series for High Point Racing. Notably, Muniz was the pace car driver for the 2001 Daytona 500, where racer Dale Earnhardt lost his life.
