General Hospital Alum Johnny Wactor’s Case Solved By Police, Arrests Made
Police have solved the murder case of General Hospital alum Johnny Wactor. The news comes after months of searching for the suspects in this case and just weeks after authorities released photos from that night.
Suspects Identified
TMZ reported that arrests were imminent, and authorities served search warrants. The Los Angeles Police Department identified Florencia 13 gang members in the case. It seems that fingerprints at the crime scene helped police solve this case.
The actor, who portrayed Brando on GH from 2020-2022, was shot and killed early on May 25 in downtown Los Angeles near Level 8, the bar where he worked as a bartender. Suspects shot him after he walked up on three people stealing the catalytic converter from his car.
According to ABC 7, the arrests come just one day after Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, held a press conference. In it, she called for Mayor Karen Bass and District Attorney George Gascón to do what they could to strengthen the criminal justice system.
She said, “It needs to start with LA. People watch you from across the country. And this is where change needs to start.”
Throughout the summer, Wactor’s family, friends, and coworkers have urged action on this case, and it looks like the police have finally made moves to solve it. Soap Hub will bring you more details as they become available.
