Gibson City man killed in weekend crash
FORD COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A man from Gibson City was killed over the weekend after his truck crashed on Illinois Route 9.
The crash happened early Sunday morning at County Road 600 East, just outside Gibson City. Officials with the Illinois State Police said a Ford F-150 was driving west at 2:39 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, it crossed over the eastbound lane, went into the south ditch and crashed into a culvert.

The driver and sole person inside the truck was pronounced dead on the scene by the Ford County Coroner. He’s been identified as 27-year-old Tyler Hinshaw.
Route 9 was shut down for about two-and-a-half hours while State Police investigated. There is no further information available at this time.
