Gospelfest, boat tours on the river and more today at Riverfest
Some of the festival’s recurring events will begin later on Monday.
Wagonmasters river tours and Kids Corner start at 5 p.m. and the Carnival starts at 6 p.m.
The concert of the day is Gospelfest, featuring Fred Hammond and Bishop Cortez Vaughn. The concert will start at 6 p.m. on the Kennedy Plaza stage.
Here are other events happening today:
Food Court and Beer Garden, 11 a.m.; The food court is on the east side of Century II. Stand-alone food vendors will also be at the Kid’s Corner. Food will need to purchased with tickets and can be purchased at the food court.
Kids Corner, 5.-10 p.m.; Kids can participate in events hosted by Levi Harris - Twisted Fun Balloon Twisting, Meet & Greet Wichita Princesses and more. Events schedules vary by day. Check out the Kids Corner page on the Riverfest website for more details. Kids Corner is located in A. Price Woodard Park at 401 E. Douglas Ave.
Helicopter Rides, 5-9 p.m.; Admission is $40 per person
Wagonmasters River Tours, 5-8p.m. The tours start under the Douglas Avenue Bridge on the north side of Douglas and east of the Arkansas River.
Carnival, 6-11 p.m.; The carnival is at 511 S. Water.; A large Ferris Wheel, kiddie rides and rides for older kids will be available. Admission to the carnival is free but tickets to ride rides will need to be purchased on site.
Gospelfest Concert; 6 p.m.; This concert will be played on the Kennedy Plaza Stage on Douglas. Fred Hammond and Bishop Cortez Vaughn are scheduled to perform.
