Grand Island native takes part in flyover at Bills game
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A local resident took part in the Navy flyover at the Bills game on Sunday.
Lt. Carlee Conway, a Grand Island native, was one of the four pilots in the flyover before the Bills faced the Tennessee Titans at Highmark Stadium.
The flyover included four FA-18 SuperHornets, a type of fighter plane.
Conway graduated Sacred Heart Academy and is a 2019 graduate of the US Naval Academy, where she starred in tennis. She recently returned from the Red Sea after nine months of deployment.
“I know that they’re building a new stadium now, but my bucket list item was to fly over Ralph Wilson Stadium before they move over to the new one, so it’s pretty incredible that we were able to do this and get the support to make it happen,” Conway said.
