In an interview for Glamour's March issue — featuring Gwyneth Paltrow as its cover girl — the actress said that ex-husband Chris Martin is now like a "brother" to her.

Paltrow and the Coldplay frontman were married for 10 years before separating in March 2014 and officially filing for divorce in April 2015 (the case is ongoing). They remained friendly — notoriously coining the phrase "consciously uncoupling" — in an effort to co-parent their children Apple and Moses.

Paltrow also spoke about performing on Martin's new album, clarifying that she is "just singing a bit of harmony," but that her father's death in 2002 did influence lyrics in the song "Everglow."
