Hamburg man admits to fatal 2022 stabbing in Lake View
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Hamburg man has pleaded guilty in connection with luring and fatally stabbing a 25-year-old in a Lake View wooded area in 2022, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Jared Adamski, 27, admitted to luring Boston resident Brenden Benoit into the woods off of Heltz Road and fatally stabbing him in the early morning hours of July 10, 2022.
During the attack, Adamski stabbed Benoit in the legs multiple times and then abandoned him in the woods. Benoit died at the scene.
Four co-defendants, 20-year-old Kayleigh Skybyk-Schuh, 22-year-old Harrison Drozen, 22-year-old Connor Krone and 22-year-old Elexus Dean all pleaded guilty to charges in connection to the attack last week.
As for Adamski, he pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter. He faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on August 22.
