Hammond teen accused of robbery on school bus

HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — A Hammond teenager has been arrested after he allegedly stole a necklace from another student while taking a school bus home.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, Sept. 5, a Hammond High School student reported that their necklace had been taken.

Through investigation, deputies found that the suspect, 17-year-old Nashaun Porter, had posted a video on social media where he allegedly further threatened to harm the victim while at school on Friday.
Porter was taken into custody on Sept. 6, and is being charged with simple robbery, disturbing the peace, simple battery, simple criminal damage to property and cyberbullying.
