FaZe Clan is undergoing a strict round of layoffs wherein renowned members, including Santana and Kalei, have been chopped off from the roster. This isn’t the first time the renowned company has let go of its talented members, as previously, in 2023, 40% of the workforce was let go due to uncertainty in the eSports industry. While this might be shocking news to many, Blaze, who also got removed in the lay-off process, revealed that he already knew that he might be let go from the company. Although he was saddened by the news, he took it in a positive way and also received the “best news” of his brand, Charged, signing a deal with Walmart.
While the other members have shared their concerns regarding the decision, the now CEO elaborated his decision more clearly on X (formerly Twitter). He mentioned, ” I promise the only reason you were let go is because a genuine relationship couldn’t really ever have been formed.” Further, he explained that he wanted to bring the company out of the “corporate bucket” and take it back to its original state.
