As Former President Donald Trump was beginning to speak at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, loud pops were heard and Trump went down to the ground. Secret Service ran over and hovered over him.
Screams were heard from the crowd at the rally.
Donald Trump appeared to stand and walk surrounded by Secret Service. He pumped his fist in the air as agents rushed him to nearby car. Blood could be seen on his ear and face.
The crowd then began chanting "USA, USA" as Trump was ushered to an armored vehicle nearby.
"President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility more details will follow," statement released by Trump spokesperson.
News reports speculate whether injuries were from shots or when Trump went to the ground. He went to the ground on his own; he did not collapse. He reached for his right ear and blood was there.
According to news reports, the Butler County District Attorney office has said, "the suspected shooter and one rally attendee is dead. A second attendee is in serious condition."
Butler, Pennsylvania is the county seat of Butler County, located 35 miles north of Pittsburgh and is part of the Greater Pittsburgh region.
