Happy Valley's Sarah Lancashire lines up next TV role
Happy Valley star Sarah Lancashire has lined up her next TV role in an "ambitious" new series.
The actress will star in the currently untitled series, Deadline has confirmed, which has yet to reveal an official synopsis.
However, we do know it will be a "research heavy project inspired by real characters", according to production company Lighthouse Film & Television's Radford Neville.

The company, which is behind Netflix's new movie Scoop, will also team up with Lancashire's production company Via Pictures for the series.
“When we set up Lighthouse in 2019 we talked to Sarah about developing something specifically for her,” Neville told Deadline.
“In the interim she has set up Via and towards the end of last year we had an idea for an ambitious, contemporary returning series that may be perfect for Sarah.”
Lancashire famously played the role of Catherine Cawood in the BBC's Happy Valley, which wrapped up its third and final season just over a year ago.

She has since lined up a TV role in Netflix series Black Doves, which will co-star Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw.
The spy show will follow a politician's wife called Helen (Knightley), who is also a spy passing on her husband's secrets to the Black Doves organisation. However, when her lover Jason is assassinated, she sets out with friend Sam Young (Whishaw) to learn the truth.
They then unmask a conspiracy that "links the murky underworld of London to a looming geopolitical crisis – and leads them to question the cost of the moral choices they’ve made".
Lancashire will take on the role of spymaster Reed in the show, with a first glimpse at her character unveiled last month.
